The Asset Reliability Engineer will analyse the performance of all operating assets and deliver long term asset improvement. The key output of the role is to establish a Reliability Engineering program that meets the business needs and cascade this program to all assets across the operation.

In addition, the Asset Reliability Engineer will be expected to track production losses and abnormally high maintenance costs of assets, and then find ways to reduce those losses or high costs.

Responsibilities and tasks typically include:

  • Work with assigned clients as assigned to analyse failure/maintenance historical data and develop appropriate Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) and Whole Lifecycle Cost models;
  • Perform detailed analysis of equipment reliability, identifying gaps between current performance and Client business requirements and/or world class benchmarks, to identify and focus investment in specific reliability improvement activities that will deliver enhanced performance;
  • Work with Client Representatives to perform analysis of assets including: Asset Utilisation , Overall Equipment Effectiveness , Remaining useful life and o ther parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets
  • Deliver technical/reliability improvement projects, managing change and complying with targets, resources and budget;
  • Consolidate, analyse, and interpret unique combinations of equipment, materials, processes and failure mechanisms so as to provide an integrated view for asset management;
  • Review downtime data, investigate where necessary and assist in optimising plant performance;
  • Develop and manage a detailed robust plan and budget for the work undertaken;
  • Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.





Qualifications:

Your attributes and accomplishments will include:

  • Experience in the field of equipment reliability, machinery or process troubleshooting, plant or process startup, or equipment or system maintenance;
  • K nowledge and understanding of PAS55/ISO55000 principles;
  • Exposure to Computerised Maintenance Management Systems/EAM systems e.g. SAP, Maximo, Oracle;
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial);
  • High level of computer literacy in MS Office suite including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint - in-depth Excel knowledge required.
