Study Manager - Mineral Processing

Our Minerals & Metals business is increasing its presence in Vancouver. For us, a better solution is always just around the corner. We thrive on breaking new ground. Due to a number of new and exciting opportunities, we are seeking suitably qualified and highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Mineral Processing Study Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Minerals and Metals, typical duties include:

  • Manage the execution of multiple, concurrent studies / projects to meet the agreed objectives.
  • Manage the client relationship on all assigned projects.
  • Report internally and externally on project status.
  • Manage resource levels and ensure that staffing requirements are communicated to the Operations and Engineering director appropriately.

  • Liaise with third party experts/consultants (mining, environment, financial analysts)

  • Maintain a highly motivated and value focused team environment.
  • Maintain a consistently high quality of studies output by planning, coordinating, managing resources, technical quality, and study progress.
  • Maintain relationships with the pool of global subject matter experts and ensure that they are utilized, where appropriate, to bring value and innovation to studies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Studies Team to deliver best practice solutions through the application of knowledge of industry developments and experience of past trends or different situations.
  • Communicate with client and professional colleagues
  • Formulate effective business cases through bringing together technical knowledge and commercial concepts
  • Assist with the generation of proposals for new studies / projects.
  • Comply with all [Company] minerals corporate policies and procedures by adopting [Company] Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements


  • In-depth and relevant experience in the mining industry with strong base metals and mineral processing experience
  • Extensive experience in the development, delivery and operation of mining or mineral processing studies and projects
  • Previously worked on a client/owner`s team or been a study manager, area manager, engineering manager or lead engineer on several projects/studies would be an asset
  • Excellent written technical and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Willingness to travel when required
